Nedim Dağdeviren
The Kurdish Library has published the book Den kurdiska frågan i Sveriges riksdag 1979-2001 (The Kurdish Question in the Swedish Parliament 1979-2001), compiled by Nedim Dagdeviren on 21 May 2002. This book is in two volumes and consists of ca. 1000 pages.
At 14:00 on 22 May 2002, the book, which contains motions, questions, answers to questions, interpellations and answers to interpellations, was handed over to the Speaker of the Parliament, Birgitta Dahl.
A discussion on the book and attitudes towards the Kurdish issue was held in the Parliament’s Information Centre. Hillevi Larsson of the Social Democratic Party, Ulla Hoffman (Western Party), Marianne Andersson (Centre Party) and Rosita Runegrund (the Christian Democratic Party) as well as representatives of different Kurdish political organisations participated in the discussion.
This documentation shows that the Swedish Parliament has discussed the Kurdish question more than any other parliament in the world.
The book will be translated to Turkish to be distributed in Turkey
